If you know a bit about Linux then you might also know that
there are a lot of Linux distro’s available out there. Some distro’s are
user-friendly, some are solely focused on better user experience.
I have made my list of 5 different Linux distro’s for
different kind of usage. So the list is here:
1. Ubuntu
2. Debian
3. Arch Linux

CentOS with GNOME Desktop |
CentOS is open-source and community based distribution with a
stable environment. It is derivative by RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux). It
gives a great server experience. It provides stability of RHEL. So we can say
that it is free alternative of RHEL. So it is good for servers.
5. Kali Linux

Kali Linux with GNOME Desktop |
Kali Linux is the best known Linux distro for ethical
hacking. It is Debian based destroy. It comes with lots of hacking tools, like
Aircrack-ng, Burp suite, etc. This Linux distro is mainly used by Ethical
Hackers for penetration testing. It comes with a graphical installer and
installation is quite easy.
Look:
Here
it’s not always the same as I have stated. That means you can use Arch Linux
for your server and you can do your basic work on Kali Linux also and these are
just five. There are lot of other distro’s also which you can go for. The one
thing which I want to say is you need to try out some distro’s. Without that
you will not get an idea of what it’s actually like. With some distro’s you get
an option for LIVE BOOTING the system with CD/DVD or Pen drive. With this you
can try out the distro before actually installing it on your system.
Bottom Line:
This post is just to make things easy for you. But at the end
it’s up to you on deciding which one is the best for your work. But then also I
will say at some point it doesn’t matter much, so just try any one out.
